The rocking horses made by Barnes Horses are hand-crafted by Jed Thirkell, to the highest possible standards. Jed developed an interest in rocking horses following a visit to an annual rocking horse show. He bought some plans, and developed and carved his first horse; a minature rocker. Being ever more adventurous, Jed decided to use his extraordinary wood carving talents to set up his own workshop, and to make and sell rocking horses from there.

Jed has developed an eye for perfection, with the ability to develop an extraordinary rocking horse in various finishes to help turn your home decor from ordinary into the extraordinary.

Each individual horse is still carved personally by Jed, ensuring the highest quality product and the highest quality service. His high standards have resulted in the production of what we believe to be the best quality rocking horses in the North East.
